KAI and Infineon Austria participated in the technical meeting of the 100% funded Horizon Europe Project “AddMorePower” in Toulouse. The on-site discussions allowed a deep-dive into the technical topics, knowledge exchange and strategic planning. Together we advance the characterization and modeling workflows for new wide bandgap semiconductor materials and metallizations for power technologies.

During the visit we had the opportunity to visit the CEMES laboratories with a long history in transmission electron microscopy. The highlight of which was “the boule” (the bowl), a spherical steel building with a diameter of 25m, still housing major parts of the high voltage infrastructure for a 1.3-million-volt electron microscope which operated from 1960 to 1991.

We are looking forward to the continued collaboration and the next face to face meeting within the AddMorePower project.
