Excellent scientific work!
Congratulations to Alexander Huber for being awarded for his early scientific work! His master’s thesis at the department of mechanics of the Montanuniversität Leoben and in cooperation with the MSS (material science and simulation) group at KAI (competence center for automotive and industrial electronics) was awarded the “WKO Steiermark Forschungspreis 2023/2024““. He received the prize for research on the topic „Mean-field-model development for void formation in SAC305-solder bumps“. A total of 22 people from the 9 Styrian universities were awarded and honored. It is a great achievement highlighting the importance of this research topic and the innovation behind! The video about his master thesis gives a great insight!
The master thesis was conducted within the COMET project „ECO-solder: Damage evolution in lead-free solder joints – advanced characterization and modelling approaches”.
Alexander will continue his research for Infineon as Ph.D. student within a recently started FFG project.
